    good stuff travis – reminds me of a little book i own called “when jesus smiled”. jesus was constantly surprising everyone by what he said and did. i think we need to re-capture some of that same surprise as we hear him speak and see him act in our own lives today.

    Legos, tantrums, parenting mistakes, and getting corrected by your own kid who makes these amazing, mysterious, utterly theological proclamations….wait for it, wait for it….yeah, we so need to get our families together. Good use of Barney BTW! Your writing style and the communication of grace through thoughtful, down to earth examples reminds me of Kathleen Norris. Great stuff!

    Thanks to both of you. Pete: couldn’t have said it better myself. I need to track down that book. Ben: Kathleen Norris is high praise–don’t know if I’m ready for that kind of comparison. And yes, we definitely need to get the families together. Sooner than later.
