ICYMI: Thinking About Bach’s Bible
Composer J.S. Bach’s personal, annotated Bible, housed in the Seminary’s Kristine Kay Hasse Memorial Library, was recently highlighted in two blog posts. A Get Religion blog post offered a thoughtful piece on how Bach’s personal three-volume study Bible, marked with his own notations, exemplified the importance of Lutheran doctrine in his life. A publisher in the Netherlands, the Uitgeverij Van Wijnen, also shared the story of Bach’s Bible and its journey to the Kristine Kay Hasse Memorial Library.
