CONCORDIA JOURNAL GARNERS AWARDS

Concordia Journal, Summer 2012The Associated Church Press (ACP) announced the winners of the 2012 Best of the Christian Press Awards at its conference in Indianapolis, Ind., on April 4. Concordia Journal, Concordia Seminary’s quarterly theological publication, is an official member of ACP and it won two awards this year. Concordiatheology.org also won a significant award.

Issued quarterly by the faculty of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, the Concordia Journal is the successor of Lehre und Wehre (1855-1929), begun by C. F. W. Walther, a founder of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Lehre und Wehre was absorbed by the Concordia Theological Monthly (1930-1972) which was also published by the faculty of Concordia Seminary as the official theological periodical of the Synod.
