Word and Work: Reading the Bible in the Holy Land

In Word and Work: An Intersection, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, President Dr. Dale A. Meyer talks with Dr. Thomas “Tom” Zelt, pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fremont, Calif., about the Seminary course, “Exegesis and Teaching from a Biblical Context.” For seven years, Zelt has taught the course about Israel and led students on a trip there. The on-site study, which is offered once a year during the summer term, equips students with an understanding of the stories in the Bible in their geographic, historic and cultural settings. Anonymous donors make the trip possible for students taking the class.
