Honest Repentance and the Law – Dr. David Maxwell

“Tangible: Theology Learned and Lived” explores the ways in which theology permeates all aspects of life. Through conversatiohttps://sites.libsyn.com/486336ns with our faculty, we will challenge you to deepen your theology and live out your faith in Christ. We’ll talk with a variety of professors on a variety of topics – something different in every episode, but all pointing to the intersection between faith and daily life. It’s tangible: theology learned and lived.

In this week’s episode we talk with Dr. David Maxwell, professor of systematic theology at Concordia Seminary, St Louis. Maxwell recently wrote a series of sermons exploring the ways in which our understanding of the law, faith, and salvation influence our ability to repent. This episode explores the first concept in the series, titled LAW. “The image is that the Bible’s like an anvil on your chest that crushes the life out of you…this is the kind of thing that I think makes people want to hide.” Dr. Maxwell

The episode references a sermon that Dr. Maxwell wrote as a part of the Honest Repentance sermon series. Click below to watch a free video of Dr. David Maxwell preaching “Honest Repentance and the Law.”
