Movies are a powerful medium that both shape and reflect society. This fall, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (CSL) and Concordia University, St. Paul (CSP), St. Paul, Minn., are partnering to offer a unique opportunity to examine film through the lens of faith. The six-week virtual continuing education course, “Movies and Mission,” invites participants to explore how popular films can help Christians better understand and engage with the world around them in their witness to the Gospel.

“Cinema offers one important lens through which Christians can better understand the culture in which we have been called to confess the Lord Jesus Christ and bear witness to His Gospel,” said Dr. David Lewis, one of the instructors for the course and the Dr. Jack Dean Kingsbury Professor of New Testament Theology at Concordia Seminary.
