Leading with the Gospel for more than 175 years

Today we give thanks to God as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Seminary President Dr. Thomas J. Egger’s ordination.

Egger has faithfully served the church through pastoral ministry and theological education, proclaiming Christ and equipping future servants of the Gospel. We are grateful for his leadership among us.

Please join us in giving thanks and praying for the Lord’s continued blessings on Dr. Egger's ministry.

Dr. Geoffrey Robinson organized an Evangelism Specific Enclave July 1–2 at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., (CTSFW). Attendees included representatives from the LCMS Office of National Mission; Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (CSL); CTSFW; and several LCMS Districts. Topics included Dr. Ken Schurb’s “Seven Theses on Evangelism,” current evangelism instruction at both seminaries, congregational-level teaching and ways Districts can support Synod-wide efforts. The group also discussed potential partnerships, including internships for seminary and Concordia University System (CUS) students. Another enclave is tentatively planned for June 2026 in Springfield, Ill., to continue this important work.
