Happy Labor Day! As we go about our work, we remember that God has given us various vocations to serve Him and our neighbor in love.

“With the Lord begin your task; Jesus will direct it.
For His aid and counsel ask; Jesus will perfect it.
Ev’ry morn with Jesus rise, And when day is ended,
In His name then close your eyes; Be to Him commended.” (LSB 869:1)

A wonderful evening of fellowship!

The Seminary Women’s Association (SWA) hosted its annual Wine and Cheese Night Aug. 26 in Koburg Hall. One of SWA’s biggest events of the year, this gathering brought together deaconess students, student wives, fiancées and faculty wives for a warm evening of welcome and connection.

We give thanks for this time of meeting one another, building friendships and celebrating the vibrant community the Lord is shaping at the Seminary.

If you have wondered whether God is calling you to be a pastor, deaconess, missionary or chaplain, Vocatio: Retreat offers time away to explore that call in community.

Worship, study Scripture, talk with Seminary professors and students, and experience life on campus — all while connecting with others on similar journeys.
