Congratulations to Dr. Bong Rin Ro, a 1969 graduat
Congratulations to Dr. Bong Rin Ro, a 1969 graduate of the Seminary’s Graduate School, who has been named Wheaton College’s 2025 Alumnus of the Year for Distinguished Service to Society.

Ro studied Historical Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, from 1964 to 1969. He went on to serve as a missionary and professor across Asia, including in Singapore, Taiwan and Korea. He held leadership roles with the Asia Theological Association, based in the Philippines; the World Evangelical Alliance Theological Commission, New York, N.Y.; the Asia Graduate School of Theology, Quezon City, Philippines; and several theological institutions in Honolulu, Hawaii. He also recently published a book, "Asian Church History" (2024).
