This past Saturday, participants attended the Lay Bible Institute, “And He Spoke Many Things to Them in Parables,” presented by Dr. James Fickenscher, assistant professor of Exegetical Theology. Professor of Practical Theology Dr. Mark Rockenbac
Professor of Practical Theology Dr. Mark Rockenbach recently had the privilege of participating in the LCMS Youth Gathering July 19-23, 2025. Over the course of three days, Dr. Rockenbach gave 10 presentations on timely and challenging topics including “What About Transgenderism?” and “How to Discuss Gender Identity with Young Adults.” Rockenbach also co-presented with Ted Kober about topics based on their book, “Unforgivable.” 
Rockenbach is part of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) taskforce, “Created Male and Female,” which hosted a booth at the gathering called, "Who Am I?" Concordia Seminary students were invited to help staff the booth and engage with youth on these important issues.
